As you can see in the Module positions, this template has two positions that can be used as a full featured multi-level menu:

  • menu
  • bottom-menu

Also you can place menus in the sidebars or other positions, but the two mentioned above will produce a horizontal multi-level menu in desktop devices, with an appropriate handle for hiding the menu by default when using it on mobile/tablet devices.

To set up a menu position (considering that you have created a menu and menu items in the Joomla Menu Manager), you must:

  1. Go to the Module Manager, located under Extensions of the administration of your Joomla site.

  2. Click New to add a new module.

  3. Select Menu as the module type.

  4. In the basic options, select the menu you created on the Joomla Menu Manager, but also make sure that if you're using one of the positions listed above, you select the appropriate number of levels you want, and that you set Showw Sub-menu Items to Yes, so that the sublevels will be shown.
